Description
Rare opportunity. Bell & Howell RingMaster II series Sound / Slide projector. Model 830A This was EXTREMELY expensive when new. Turns slide programs into both sound and view. View can either be by the screen or projecting (from port on the back ) onto a wall or screen.  Checked out for full-function. We were very impressed with the test program we watched. Audio can be sync'ed from the built - in cassette player.  This amazing machine can play continuous - loop cassettes with 81 slides or divisions of that. It will allow you to produce your own custom sound track since it also has recording capability. Lots of cassette controls, as on the best recorders. You can even add your own automatic advance pulses to your recorded sound track. Jacks for the microphone, remote, additional speaker, headphones. Fold-down carry handle. Without the tray, unit is a cube.Cassettes are inserted on the top left side.   I think this would be priceless as a tool at a family reunion. What family doesn't have precious old slides. Each member could contribute commentary on each slide. I'd love to have someone use it that way!!! The slides could be projected for all to see why listening to their family members talk about them. Even members who couldn't come.   As you might guess, all this makes the manual important. You need to know HOW to make these functions happen. Manual also has trouble-shooting, and wonderful hints on making your program.   We Watched our old family slides recently and although VERY 0ld, the color was still wonderful. It was a great medium. Do preserve yours!     This unit is decked out! Comes with manual (many of them are sold separately on ebay), microphone, and remote, and I'm including one slide tray. There is even a little unit which is a stand for the microphone. Probably purchased at the end of this technology and seems to have had little use. I love to use this old tech. We have one for ourselves. Duplicate to sell. Many of the programs written for slides and filmstrips aren't available in any other format. Yes, you can transfer them if you are techy, but I love the old ways.  And, first you must have the old programs. You may as well enjoy them in the original form. Once only schools, with federal help could afford these, now ebay bargain!   Has storage for one slide tray in a compartment on the back.   There were MANY educational programs produced with slides and matching audio on cassette. I have a lot of them to list. Just haven't gotten to it yet. If you have interest in them, let me know. Mostly higher level science, social studies, etc.   We may be able to arrange cheaper shipping via DHL, or UPS.    Please check my other listings - books, AV machines, teacher resources, and filmstrips. A real educational/entertainment bargain. Ideally, there isn't much difference between the two.        I have  an ebay store. See it as I load the "shelves". I will be able to keep a group of science, history, fiction, children's, geography and Texana books available to you as well as my usual teacher / homeschool materials and AV machines. I have rooms full of these duplicates to sell. All has been either read or previewed for content. The store should be a time-saver for me and a convenience for you. You'll find bargains, not mark-ups. Nearly all will have BIN the same as when in the auction format & no chance of being outbid! Let me know if you like it!
