A:  This is not as simple a question as it sounds. The main differences would be that binding to a mortal is much stronger as it is spirit to spirit and not spirit to a metal or stone and though the process is more complex, it will be much stronger and communication will be much easier. You can also lose a ring or stone, it is unlikely you will lose your spirit.
